Good morning!
Welcome along to today’s live rugby league blog, we’ll get started by taking a look at the weekend just gone.
Eight clubs secured their progression to the Challenge Cup quarter-finals but there were some high profile exits this weekend, too.
Leeds Rhinos crashed out of the competition as they were thumped 40-16 at home to Lee Radford’s Castleford Tigers. The Rhinos were booed off at half-time and fans have been asking serious questions about the direction the club is going in after a disastrous start to the season.
Warrington Wolves lost 16-12 to Wakefield Trinity, too, as the pressure starts to build at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Hull KR and Catalans Dragons were pushed close by Leigh Centurions and Featherstone Rovers respectively but managed to progress to the final eight.
Elsewhere, comfortable wins came for Wigan Warriors, Hull FC, St Helens and Huddersfield Giants.
