Keane Lewis-Potter has been rewarded for his terrific form for Hull City by being called up to the England Under-21 squad for a busy run of crucial European qualifiers games next month.
Lewis-Potter was included for the second time by Lee Carsley, backing up his maiden call-up in March where he came off the bench late on in the 3-0 win in Albania for the Three Lions, having watched on from the bench in Bournemouth as the team thumped Andorra 4-1 three days earlier.
The 21-year-old Tigers sensation continues to be the subject of strong speculation surrounding his future at the MKM Stadium, with West Ham, Tottenham and Brentford all keen on signing the young forward, but will have the chance to focus on international football in June with Carsley’s men set for games against the Czech Republic, Albania, Kosovo and Slovenia.

England sit three points behind the Czech Republic in Group G, though they do have two games in hand and the meeting between the pair in Ostrov on June 3 looks a crucial one before Albania are the visitors to Chesterfield’s Technique Stadium on June 7. England then make the journey to Vokrri where they’ll face Kosovo on June 10. A busy four-game stretch comes to an end with a home date with Slovenia at Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium on June 13.
Speaking to Hull Live about his teammate, Harvey Cartwright says a call-up for the Under-21s is the least Lewis-Potter deserves for a stellar campaign with his hometown club. “He deserves another call-up, I don’t see why he wouldn’t get that because I’m sure he’s good enough.”
