The White Lotus hunk Lukas Gage has revealed how his mother felt about his raunchy gay sex scene on the buzzy series.
Lukas, 27, features on season one as the breezy hotel employee Dillon who catches the eye of his tightly-wound, recovering alcoholic manager Armond (Murray Bartlett).
Armond, whose sobriety was already hanging by a thread, falls disastrously off the wagon and indulges in a drug-fueled sex romp with Dillon.
In one scene that set fans’ tongues wagging, Armond is caught in his office performing anilingus on his subordinate.
Now in a new interview with Variety, Lukas spilled that his mother reacted by saying: ‘That’s a great a**. Get that money. Get that bag and be committed.’

Along with The White Lotus, Lukas also drew attention for a scene on the Netflix series You in which he gets urinated on as a sexual fetish.
His mother took a relaxed view, Lukas said, describing her as ‘a cool little hippie lady. With nudity, I think we both share sort of a European vibe.’
Shortly after the anilingus scene aired on The White Lotus, Murray explained that ‘I love that it’s not something that we see very often.’
In an interview with Digital Spy, he said with a chuckle: ‘In terms of the function of the scene, I think the shock value of that for people who are not used to that kind of…configuration of intimacy is really brilliant.’
He argued that the scene ‘felt right in terms of the shock value. And it felt great in terms of: “Let’s show something that is a natural part of sex for a lot of queer people.” It serves the scene in such a great way.’
Murray has been open about his own homosexuality for years, while Lukas is currently dating hairstylist to the stars Chris Appleton.
In the past Lukas was relentlessly attacked by woke social media users furious that he plays LGBT roles without publicly labeling himself as such.
When the subject came up in a recent New York Times interview, he shared that he was once dropped by an agent for refusing to clearly define his sexual orientation.

Pushing boundaries: Along with The White Lotus, Lukas also drew attention for a scene on the Netflix series You (pictured) in which he gets urinated on as a sexual fetish
The agent purportedly instructed him: ‘Stop dyeing your hair, stop wearing weird clothes and pick a lane: gay, bi or straight. It’s too confusing.’
Meanwhile Lukas’ own position is: ‘I understand representation and voices that need to be heard, but I don’t want to do anything on anyone’s accord but my own.’
He insisted: ‘Let me do it when I’m ready. And it’s acting. I feel like everyone should get the opportunity to play whatever they want.’
More recently Lukas also defended Diplo, who went viral for dishing on Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast High Low that he has gotten oral sex from men.
Although Diplo confessed he was ‘not NOT gay,’ he did not attach a label to his sexuality either, leading to a touch of online trolling.
Lukas had only positive words for Diplo, saying: ‘I’m sure there are a lot of people who have that same exact experience but maybe don’t have the confidence or the honesty to talk about it like that.’
He acknowledged: ‘And, you know, there’s going to be people on either side saying that he’s not labeling himself enough.’
Lukas came down on Diplo’s side, saying: ‘I commend him on his honesty and I don’t think we need to label everything and have it all figured out. Things can be in a gray area and don’t have to be so black and white.’
