Thomas added: “If you are on one of these tariffs, the cheapest time of day to wash your clothes would be during these hours, which usually fall between 10pm to 8am.
“However, these times can vary depending on the supplier, so it’s important to check the times beforehand to ensure you’re washing during the cheapest hours.”
