Hull FC youngsters Davy Litten and Jacob Hookem have joined Championship club Whitehaven on a short-term loan deal. The playmaking pair will be keen to get some much needed first-team experience under their belts and they could make their debuts this weekend as the Cumbrian outfit take on their rivals Workington Town on Easter Sunday.
Litten, who signed a long-term deal with the Black and Whites earlier this year, is still waiting to make his senior debut for Hull, but he has been earmarked as a future star by head coach Brett Hodgson. Hookem, on the other hand, made his bow for the FC last September, stepping off the bench and performing impressively in the final day defeat to Wakefield Trinity.
They’ll join Marcus Walker at the Recreation Ground with the 19-year-old joining Whitehaven on loan last week.

Speaking on the trio’s move to the Championship, Hodgson told the club website: “This is a great opportunity for both Jacob and Davy, as well as Marcus, to get some game time under their belt in a really competitive division.
“It’s important that our young players are playing week in, week out, at this stage of their careers to help them continue to develop, and heading up to Cumbria gives them the opportunity to be involved in competitive fixtures every weekend over the next few weeks.
“Jacob has just returned from a foot injury so some matches in the Championship will help him get back into the swing of things, while Davy and Marcus have shown some real promise for the Reserves in recent weeks so this will allow them to continue that progression.
“It will also be great for their off-field development experiencing a new environment and living away from home for a short period, while it also allows us to further enhance the great work the club are doing in the Cumbria region.”
